Heritage Series

We choose it ourselves, sometimes we make it ourselves; it smells like us, even “looks” like us. We often keep special pieces after a loved one moves on. Despite the fast fashion world we live in, clothing is still an integral part of our personal identity.
This thought process led to an exploration of embellished family photographs; bringing the subjects life by embroidering the garments they identified with using color schemes I identify them with.
